The brand’s founder, François-Joseph Pelletier, assembled a professional team of experienced watchmakers and designers to support the development of Richelieu. Over time, the company employed more than 60 skilled specialists, while annual production reached approximately 100,000 watches. This growth enabled Richelieu to establish its own distinctive position within the Swiss watch industry.

Swiss production and quality

A significant proportion of the components used in the production of Richelieu watches is sourced from Switzerland’s Jura region, which is widely known for its watchmaking industry. This approach enables the models to be produced in accordance with the requirements associated with the “Swiss Made” designation.

Before being released for sale, every watch undergoes strict inspections for accuracy, operational stability, assembly quality, and overall appearance. Particular attention is paid to high-quality materials, fine details, and precise craftsmanship throughout the production process.

A new stage of development

In 2015, the Richelieu brand was acquired from the Pelletier family by Montres Edox & Vista SA, a Swiss company based in Les Genevez. This acquisition marked the beginning of a new stage in the brand’s history.

Today, Richelieu watches continue to be produced in keeping with Swiss watchmaking traditions. Alongside classic designs, the brand also offers models that reflect contemporary fashion trends. The production process is associated with Les Genevez, located in Switzerland’s Jura region.
